UPDATE: Hickory Dickory Park to reopen in October following improvements

UDPATE, Sept. 11: Improvement work at Hickory Dickory Park is expected to continue through Sept. 30. The City appreciates the public's patience as upgrades continue.
July 30: AUBURN, Ala.- Hickory Dickory Park will be closed Aug. 4 through Sept. 19 while improvements are made throughout the park.
The City's Water Resource Management team will be working with Auburn University on the following projects, which are being funded by a grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management:
- Streambank restoration work.
- Planting new rain gardens.
- Creating a foot path connecting the park and the cul-de-sac at the end of Hickory Lane.
- Adding picnic tables.
- Upgrading the gutter system on the bathroom building.
- Adding sod and an irrigation system.
Please note, the closure duration could vary because of weather or other unexpected delays. Please follow all posted signage and stay out of the parking lot and park areas.
